The sad part is with the new law Blue Cross can not deny anyone because they have no competition in this state. Is anything being done to break this monopoly?

Yes, I know that sometimes employers can offer choice, and Rite Care offers choice. However, if one is unemployed, or disabled there is no choice.

I would never have been involved with Street Sights were it not for Elizabeth's energy, charm and vision. Thank you for all you've done to make this amazing project happen and be sustained!

Alicia,
This is one of the best success stories because it is written in truth. Reading this I feel I know you and what you've been through and can understand how you traveled this road. Most importantly, the telling of your experience inspires me to keep resisting cocaine and getting high. When you say, "Today I choose to live" I believe that is what it really comes down to choosing life or death.Thank you for being so brave to tell your story.

Hi,
God Bless You, Alicia. I am visiting this web site tonight because I had the privilege of meeting a gentleman name Joe Perry tonight, and I was struck by his humility and the generosity of his heart. I went looking for a sense of his accomplishments based on the book we talked about "One Kid at a Time". and when I found his column in this paper, I found you.
I am so happy for you, that you have reclaimed your life through the Grace of God, and the strength of your spirit. My son is one year younger than you, and he has had a privileged life, but unfortunately hasn't found his way out of drug addiction yet.
I am always so grateful to hear a story like yours, not for the pain you suffered, but because you were able to rise out of it.I know you must be an inspiration to those who know and love you. Enjoy your peace and happiness, it sounds like you have endured so much pain to earn it.
A Grateful Friend,
Carole
