Growing Old

By Carolyn Schwartz

We grow older every day
Each in our own special way
Some sow happiness where they go
Teaching others what they know

Some stop growing very soon
Let their world grow out of tune
Becoming angry as they age
Finding their body a wrinkled cage

Their misery they spread around
Complaining is their only sound
But those who will stay young and give
Their days will bloom as long they live
